He was born and raised in the Daniel Webster projects by way of Boston Rd, by way of Forest projects. He first experienced Hip Hop culture as a little child as it blossomed in the early 1980's. His earliest memory was picking up and reading the info on a record purchased by his older brother - that record was "Sucker M.C's" by Run Dmc. He is from the same block as the late, great Tim Dog and came up in the same community as Ultramagnetic M.C's.

Hip Hop has been embedded in $amhill from an early. He began rapping at 14, as a suggestion by friends on 167th st & Boston Rd. Rapping became a reality the day he saw Show of Showbiz & A.G. on Boston Rd right after seeing him on Video Music Box. $amhill credits his immense passion for hip hop to Show & A.G. who had a severe influence on his career..."
